The Workshop

Mark
This project is a bike workshop run for young people by young people. It is aimed at young people between the ages of 12-17 years old. Young people learn how to repair bikes and pick up skills along the way. The project seeks to create paid opportunities for young people so that they don’t participate in criminal activity as a way of making money.
EYG – Empowering Young Girls

Eunice and Chrystal
This project is about empowering young girls by spreading awareness on colourism and sexual harassment in schools, creating photography based on the experience of young women.
Project S.W.I.M

Malakai
This is a campaign aimed at raising awareness on the lack of swimming skills in the Black community whilst unifying the community through swimming and increasing awareness about water safety and swimming as a lifesaving skill. As part of the project Malakai did swim coaching course.
I AM NEXT

Seshie Henry
Seshie began the Agency in 2013, aged 17. Through his love of music and local knowledge, he established I AM NEXT, a music platform to give exposure to local untapped music talent. Seshie Henry is now a household name, running gigs internationally, and winner of Youth Music’s Entrepreneur of the year.

Danielle Honger
Unrestricted LDN by Danielle Honger is a brand celebrating black girl joy, while challenging the stereotype of the ‘angry black girl’. Danielle creates beautiful and powerful exhibitions showcasing the power of young black women in the area.
Horizon

Dulcie Usher
Horizon by Dulcie Usher is about empowering young women at risk of offending by taking them on activity-filled residential trips to broaden their perspectives.
ViZion

Prince Agyei
ViZion by Prince Agyei is a community album co-created with Wandsworth residents showcasing stories and talents from across the borough.

Community Research

The community-based research initiative within The Agency project aims to deepen our understanding of the communities in which we run the programme, including Belfast, Chester, London, Manchester and Southampton. By engaging in hyper-local research, we aim to identify the most pressing needs, challenges and opportunities within these communities. The insights gained inform the development of projects by young people, ensuring they are rooted in the specific needs and aspirations of their communities.
